Plan I
The Swap Sheet is pleased to assist you in the sale of your article(s). You can either call your ad(s) in or use the mail-in form found in each paper.Ads not on our form will not be accepted. Each item must have a SPECIFIC ADVERTISED PRICE. There is a limit of three (3) ads per week per household over the phone or five (5) ads per week per household through the mail. There is no charge to advertise unless: (a) the item is made unavailable by you or ANYONE answering your phone; (b) you sell through any source, trade in, give away, change your mind or in any way make your item unavailable to our readers; (c) you cancel an ad after the deadline of Friday, 5:00PM, and/or before it has run for four (4) weeks. If any of the above situations occur, your item(s) will be considered sold, and you will be charged a commission based on EACH ADVERTISED PRICE not the selling price. As soon as you sell, we ask you to please notify us so that we can cancel your ad from the paper. After an ad has run for four (4) weeks, it may be renewed for an additional four (4) weeks after a one (1) week waiting period. Ads can not run continuously.

Plan II
You may advertise your item(s) on a pre-paid basis for a 4-week period at a saving of 50% off the commission rate. This is based on the commission due PER ITEM, not a combination of commissions. Items advertised for under $50.00 will have a flat rate of $5.00. Ads must be mailed in to our office with the accompanying payment, placed in person at our office, or phone in to our office using Visa, Mastercard or Discover before Friday, 5:00 PM. Refunds will be issued only if an item(s) is sold BEFORE it appears in the paper and we are notified before Friday 5:00PM.

Like Items / Dealers
Any individual placing five (5) or more like items; a total of (5) like items in a 12 month period; licensed NYS dealers; or anyone using a business phone number in their ad must use Plan II for each item they advertise. Dealer names may be listed, but if a dealer wishes to use his physical/web address, he must advertise in the regular Prepaid section. Any dealer not using either of these options will not be allowed to advertise in our paper.

44 Real Estate
Any ads placed in category 44 Real Estate must use Plan II. In keeping with NYS law, all Real Estate ads being placed by licensed brokers must state "lic. broker" in the ad. Contact the office to place any 44 Real Estate ads.

Prepaids
Listings in the Pre-Paid section at the back of the paper (Category 52-61) run at the rate of $8.00 per week for 20 words and $.10 each additional word thereafter. Payment must be received before the ad will be placed. Contact the office to place any prepaid ads.

Deadlines
The deadline for placing phone / mail / fax ads is Friday 5PM. The deadline for placing online ads is Friday 3PM.

Notice
We reserve the right to verify the availability of items at any time during the four (4) weeks; select, edit, condense, determine the duration of, or refuse any ad that is contrary to our policies. The editor reserves the right to determine the composition and catergory placement of any ad. No responsibility is assumed for errors in the composition of an ad, or the condition of any item. Only your telephone number is published, and your name and address will not be divulged. Thank You.
